Our Projects

Delivering renewable energy and sustainable land-use solutions

Projects Shaping a Sustainable Energy Future

With a growing portfolio of operational assets and projects under construction, SUNfarming is shaping a future beyond fossil fuels. Our projects show how innovative solar solutions can be integrated into real landscapes and communities — balancing clean energy generation with environmental responsibility and local needs.

In a world increasingly affected by climate change, it is not only about producing clean electricity, but also about how it is produced.

Community Engagement & Local Partnership

SUNfarming believes that the energy transition succeeds only when renewable energy projects are developed in close partnership with local communities. That’s why we place strong emphasis on early, transparent communication and open dialogue with residents, farmers, landowners, and municipalities.

At the same time, we actively seek ways to ensure that the benefits of our projects remain visible at the local level. By involving communities and creating shared value where our projects are built, we aim to strengthen regional development and foster long-term trust. Below is an overview of some of the initiatives through which we engage with local stakeholders.

  • Our local engagement includes our work with a local citizens’ initiative on construction boundaries and landscape integration, as well as a collaboration with Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. Through this cooperation, students of landscape architecture and related disciplines are studying the environmental impacts of Agri-PV, including effects on ground-nesting birds (such as skylarks and lapwings), water infiltration, groundwater, and biodiversity benefits.

    • SUNfarming operates an Agri-Solar Research and Training Centre in Caucaia, Ceará as part of the German Energy Solutions Initiative. The centre combines organic food production with renewable energy generation through advanced Agri-PV systems and supports education and local capacity building, training up to 200 students per year while promoting sustainable agriculture and clean energy access.

    • SUNfarming supports sports clubs and local initiatives that strengthen community life. By backing associations such as the handball club HSG Eider Harde, we promote grassroots sport and foster community spirit in the regions where our projects are developed.
