Hussain Shalchi
Hussain is an energy veteran with 16+ years’ experience in this sector as a lawyer, developer and commercial leader across a number of tier 1 organisations.
At Cube Green Energy (parent company of SUNfarming), Hussain has overseen the establishment of the company’s operations from the ground up, including office operations, finance processes, HR frameworks, whilst simultaneously overseeing the legal and compliance functions and supporting M&A transactions and the development pipeline.
Under Hussain’s leadership, Cube Green Energy has established multiple offices and employee bases across Europe and successfully scaled its operations to accommodate its sizable operating and development renewable energy portfolio. Prior to joining Cube Green Energy in October 2021, Hussain held a commercial role as Head of Strategic Joint Ventures for Ørsted where he led the team responsible for establishing joint ventures across the globe in Offshore Wind and Green Hydrogen.
Hussain holds a Master’s degree in international law from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s law degree in law from University College London.
