Women leaders from across the renewable energy sector gathered at SUNfarming’s Rathenow Innovation Center for the “women of new energies” networking day, focused on collaboration, innovation, and accelerating the energy transition through stronger cross-sector partnerships.

SUNfarming has commenced construction of the Steinhöfel Climate Park, one of Europe’s largest Agri-PV projects with a planned capacity of up to 753 MWp. Combining renewable energy generation with continued agricultural use, the project represents a major milestone for sustainable land use.

SUNfarming has completed 14 new photovoltaic systems totaling 17 MW in Poland’s Warmia-Masuria region. The projects strengthen regional energy security, reduce CO₂ emissions, and form part of a growing 300+ MWp development pipeline supporting Poland’s energy transition.

SUNfarming attracted strong interest at AGRITECHNICA 2025, engaging farmers, technology providers, and policymakers on practical Agri-PV applications. Visitors explored how dual land use—combining agriculture with clean energy—can strengthen regional energy resilience alongside biogas, wind, and storage.

From November 9–15, 2025, SUNfarming will showcase innovative Agri-PV solutions at AGRITECHNICA in Hanover. Visitors can explore practical systems combining agriculture and solar energy, including rainwater management, agri-robotics, and animal welfare applications. With research-driven innovation and large-scale projects in development, SUNfarming demonstrates how Agri-PV strengthens sustainable farming and regional energy supply.

SUNfarming has expanded its digital capabilities by training six certified remote pilots and deploying two DJI Matrice 4T drones. The new systems enhance plant service through thermal inspections of PV and wind assets and support precise project planning with high-resolution 3D and geodata capture. The initiative strengthens efficiency, reliability, and data-driven development across operations.

SUNfarming has launched a new 5.25% bond 2025/2030 (ISIN: DE000A4DFSB3) with a planned volume of up to €10 million. The five-year bond supports further growth in Agri-PV, energy storage, and project development.

At MeLa 2025 in Mühlengeez, SUNfarming showcased its innovative Agri-PV solutions with a full-scale outdoor system demonstrating dual land use in practice. Around 67,000 visitors attended the event, with strong interest from farmers and decision-makers. Numerous technical discussions and new contacts highlighted the growing demand for sustainable, large-scale Agri-PV solutions.

The SUNfarming Food & Energy Research & Training Center in Rathenow hosted a specialist event on livestock farming under Agri-PV, bringing together farmers, authorities, scientists, and industry experts. Discussions highlighted improved animal welfare, efficient dual land use, and climate benefits. The event underscored Agri-PV’s growing relevance for sustainable livestock farming and regional energy transition.

The SUNfarming Innovation Center in Rathenow hosted its first expert meeting on medicinal herbs under Agri-PV. Farmers and specialists explored the cultivation of high-value crops such as sage and chamomile beneath solar modules. With agri-robotics and greenhouse systems utilising industrial waste heat, SUNfarming is advancing innovative solutions that combine agriculture, energy, and industry.

At Norla 2025 in Rendsburg, SUNfarming showcased its Agri-Solar solutions, highlighting the benefits of dual land use for farmers. The stand attracted strong interest from the agricultural community and sparked dialogue with policymakers, including discussions on enabling Agri-PV on peatlands. The event reaffirmed Agri-Solar as a practical solution for sustainable farming and the energy transition.

Students from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences visited the SUNfarming Research and Innovation Center in Rathenow to explore horticultural production under Agri-PV systems. The excursion focused on cultivation practice, yield potential, and system efficiency, offering practical insights into the interaction between crop production and photovoltaics and opening opportunities for future research collaboration.

SUNfarming concluded three successful days at Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich, showcasing its innovative Agri-PV solutions. Strong interest from farmers and industry leaders highlighted the growing role of dual land use and cross-sector integration with biogas, wind, storage, and green hydrogen. The event reinforced Agri-PV as a key driver of a resilient and sustainable energy transition.

Around 75 experts gathered at Schloss Dyck for the second conference of the Renewable Energy Innovation Park. SUNfarming’s Edith Seemann contributed key insights on integrating Agri-PV, storage, and green hydrogen into future energy systems. The event fostered valuable dialogue between industry, science, municipalities, and policymakers on advancing innovative renewable energy solutions.

At the “Solar Solutions” event, Edith Seemann presented SUNfarming’s innovative Agri-PV concepts, highlighting dual land use, yield security, and biodiversity benefits. The approach combines energy generation with agriculture, supporting animal welfare, crop protection, and subsidy eligibility. The presentation underscored Agri-PV as a win-win solution for farming and the energy transition.

At an event in Güstrow hosted by Bürgschaftsbank Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Edith Seemann presented SUNfarming’s Agri-PV concepts to bank advisors, highlighting dual land use, yield security, and climate-friendly energy generation. The discussion focused on how Agri-PV can strengthen economic stability for farmers while contributing to the energy transition.

SUNfarming experienced strong interest at EuroTier in Hanover, where visitors gathered to learn more about its innovative Agri-PV solutions. Discussions focused on dual land use and privileged systems, highlighting growing demand for sustainable energy concepts in agriculture. The trade fair reinforced Agri-PV’s role in shaping the future of food production and renewable energy.

I Squared Capital’s Cube Green Energy has signed an agreement to acquire control of SUNfarming, a leading German Agri-PV developer. The partnership strengthens SUNfarming’s growth trajectory and unlocks significant investment to advance its Agri-PV pipeline.
